What makes AI unique and why is it important to learn about it?
What makes A.I. & A.G.I. “unique” is that those things are route maps… road maps to somewhere “out there” in never-never land which do pave-the-way to some subjectively routine safe space of UNCRITICAL Objectivity.
Where once learned once successfully traversed the-minefield-of hope, so to speak. We know it is not so dramatic as this stark yet colorful sketch of somewhere in a better planned.. Environment or two.
“Success” never came from a willingness to go forward peeps. You know that, I do too. Where success “comes from” an inner desire to do well, to do better than before and to BE RECOGNISED EVER SO WELL BY DOING THAT. And so to a tepidly-warm, uniquely recognized A.I. route map to somewhere, anywhere there is the satisfactory answer that surely does-open-out into a bright new, better future for those of us who search diligently for it. So you can guess what comes next, can you not guess ?
A warm and tepid critical movement (& “route”) into somewhere different ; somewhere uncritical and somewhere where that environment is SELF-HEALING AND So self-sustainable.
I guess it’s the fact that there is nothing like it.
Without sarcasm, I mean that anything is unique by some criteria. Without any specified criteria, everything is unique. What is an orange? It’s anything that isn’t “not an orange”. This is how language works: throwing categories onto the world we observe to separate between what falls in a given category and what doesn’t. What makes oranges so unique? The fact that they are oranges, unlike everything which isn’t.
So, we need some additional criteria to be able to say what makes oranges so unique. We can ask what makes oranges so unique as a source of vitamin. Or what makes them so unique as dessert.
So what makes AI so unique as what? As intelligence? Do you mean compared to natural intelligence? What makes it unique is the fact that it is the only form of intelligence that isn’t natural.
Or do you mean as a software product? There are many things that makes it unique but the most important one, in my opinion, is that it’s the domain where specialists are the most difficult to hire. So if you want to get a good job, it’s were you should go. But I guess that wasn’t the meaning of your question.
